College Trading

I have, for health's sake let's call it, a 'preoccupation' with gambling. Because I cannot play blackjack, I play the stock market. This site is great. I have a real account on zecco.com but because of College I have limited funds to play with. I hope that this site will offer perspective stocks that other college students have been looking at and profiting from. I watch BIO AAPL RIMM and VMW pretty closely so if you have any questions about those, I might be able to help. Good Luck to everyone in the contests.-Bill

Bill- great to have you here. What's your gut telling you on VMW - have you been long since IPO? I am particularly interested in your thoughts on this article.

Sadly, I got in about 2 weeks before the earnings announcement. Personally, after experiencing the drop, i feel if the article is correct about the stock being worth 30$ a share, it won't go that low. Perhaps if earnings turn out to be that bad again this quarter, it may. Anyone who wanted to dump it already did. I think it will be a good play for this year and plan on holding it until it is back up to 70$. I wanted to play it in the 2008 contest but i had trouble retrieving the price.
